The Cooper School on Sundays from 11-12.30pm starting on Sunday 7th Feb.
You’ll be pleased to hear that the nights are doing the opposite of “drawing in” and the daffs are sprouting up everywhere through waterlogged ground – this could only mean that the cricket season is just around the corner.
With that in mind, our fresh faced and superiorly educated new Skipper, Professor Simon Lee has taken the bull by the horns (or the bat by the handle) and has arranged nets at The Cooper School on Sundays from 11-12.30pm starting on Sunday 7th Feb. They will run every Sunday till the end of March.
By all accounts Simon’s been inundated with queries about nets so we can all hope for a bumper turnout this season. In fact, the more the merrier - so if you have an old chum who keeps threatening to revitalise his illustrious cricket career then bring them along too.
We'd be delighted to welcome new players to nets - just turn up and be willing to turn your arm over. We'll make sure you get a bat in the nets as well.
Happy New Year and see you at nets – perhaps with a mate?
